In this center, Dr. Karina Calderón Pimentel was a plastic and reconstructive surgery resident at Infirmary 38 of the The Hospital Geral da Santa Casa da Misericórdia da Misericórdia do Rio de Janeiro, as well as in Prof. Pitanguy´s clinic, having the privilege of accompanying him in his private practice during this period.

Working directly with Professor Pitanguy provided me with exceptional and consistent learning, for he is an extremely demanding, high-level professional. This apprenticeship gave me a unique privilege, given that he is considered the teacher of teachers in Brazilian plastic surgery, having accumulated 54 years of experience as a professor in this noble branch of medicine.
